Silver Springs

After around 40 minutes of walking, Ollie reached an opening in the woods into a large swimming hole on the side of the mountain. It was filled by the same spring that brought water to his home, but there was something more special about the water here than the water at his home. Ollie placed his small bag on the bank on the spring. He sat on a rock and took his shoes, socks and shirt off. Slowly dipping his toes in, he winced as the cold ran through his body. Before wading into the water, he removed his Digital I.D. from his pocket and placed it safely underneath his shoe. They had been waterproof for ages but it was an old habit.

When he got to the chest deep water in the center of the spring he dunked his head under. The water was so cold it took the air out of his lungs. Ollie gasped and came to the surface but now, he was acclimated to the water. After paddling around for a bit, he swam to a large rock that stuck out of the water in the middle of the spring. He sprawled out on it and let the sun warm him. As Ollie did this he was flooded with memories.
